Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar launches samvedna kit programme for TB orphan children and Kangra Ni-Kshay kit

Dharamshala : Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has launched samvedna kit programme for TB orphan children and Kangra Ni-Kshay kit program in a programme organised by District Red Cross society Kangra and District administration at Dharamshala today.

On the occasion, the Governor distributed educational kits for 100 orphan children and 1000 Ni-Kshay kits to the patients.The Governor directed the district administration to adopt all the remaining TB patients within 15 days.

He said that people should be involved in such activities as these programmes to be done by their involvement.He also asked the government servants to involve in adaptation programme. He also said that the State has fixed the target of achieving the complete eradication of TB by 2024 in the State.

Earlier Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nipun Jindal detailed about the activities and programmes of Ni-Kshay and samvedna kit being executed through TB eradication in the District. He also apprised about the deliberation and interaction held with Ni-Kshay Mitra from time to time.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gurdarshan Gupta briefed about the Ni-Kshay Mitra and said that 1321 TB patients have been given their consent out of which 564 have been adopted.

He also said that 121 have been adopted individually.Representatives of Sai Association, Rotary club and volunteers of District Red Cross were also present on the occasion.
