Shimla : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 113.45 crore in Dalhousie Vidhan Sabha area of Chamba district today during his one day tour to the constituency.Chief Minister inaugurated Bassa to Nadal road constructed at a cost of Rs. 8.58 crore under PMGSY, link road from Samah to Hadila, stage-II built at a cost of Rs. 2.86 crore under PMGSY, link road from Jawnas to Bhasua constructed by spending Rs. 7.01 crore, 30 meters span double lane bridge over Salandri Nallah on Bathri Sundla Langera J & K boundary road constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.62 crore, 25 meters span double lane bridge over Gharat nallah on Bathri Sundla Langera J&K boundary road constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.85 crore, 40 meters span double lane bridge over Rollah nallah on Bathri Sundla Langera J&K boundary road built at a cost of Rs. 4.07 crore, helipad at Kundi (Salooni) constructed at a cost of Rs. one crore and construction of additional block for level III PHC building at Sundal to be completed by spending an amount of Rs 1 crore.Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of upgradation of Bassa to Nadal road to be done at a cost of Rs. 9.11 crore, Ani Near to Salooni road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.19 crore, near Telka to Thaloga road to be built a cost of Rs. 5.30 crore, Chakoli to Andwas road to be constructed by spending Rs. 9.64 crore, Chakoli to Dhalla road to be built with an outlay of Rs.8.06 crore, Jawans to Bhasua road, batch-II to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.88 crore, Rs. 7.52 crore Government ITI building at Lachori in tehsil Salooni, rupees one crore Government Sub Treasury building at Bhalei in tehsil Salooni and Rs. 10.83 crore 50 bedded Civil Hospital, Salooni.Chief Minister also performed foundation stone laying ceremonies of Lift Irrigation Scheme at Sherpur to be constructed at a cost of Rs.1.56 crore, Lift Water Supply Scheme to drought affected habitations in various gram panchayats Brangal, Bhalei, Wangal, Ohra, Simmi and Kaned of tehsil Salooni to be built by spending Rs. 11.64 crore, source level augmentation of drought affected water supply schemes in gram panchayats Moura, Badka, Darekri and Seri of tehsil Salooni to be constructed with an outlay of Rs. 1.98 crore, Rs. 3.47 crore road from Manola Rest House to Mandhiar to be constructed under PMGSY, Stage-II and Rs. 1.11 crore 15 meters span bridge over Bhidroh Nallah on Kainthly Bhidroh road.
While addressing a public meeting at Padhar Ground, Banikhet, Chief Minister said that the State Government was ensuring that the pace of development goes uninterrupted irrespective of the fact whether the constituency has elected MLA of ruling party or of opposition. He said that the Dalhousie area has an immense tourism potential and Government was ensuring that this potential was fully harnessed.Chief Minister said that Rs.140 crore public works schemes were being implemented in the constituency which shows that the Government was committed for providing better connectivity in the area. He said that schemes worth crores of rupees were also being implemented in the constituency under PMGSY, CRF, NABARD, SC Component Plan etc. He said that foundation stones of water supply schemes worth Rs 15.20 crore was also laid by him today and Rs 26 crore other schemes were being implemented in the constituency.Jai Ram Thakur said the State Government from the day one of assuming the reins of the State was striving hard to ensure balanced development of the State without any vendetta and vengeance. He said that the very first decision of the State Government was aimed at ensuring that the senior citizens lead a respectable life by lowering the age for availing social security pension of senior citizens from 80 years to 70 years, thereby benefitting about 2.90 lakh senior citizens.Chief Minister said that the Corona pandemic was not yet over, thus social distancing and use of face mask was the only solution to check spread of the virus. He said that even in this testing time, the Congress leaders were politicising this sensitive issue. He said that about 2.50 lakh people of the State stranded in different parts of the State were brought home by the State Government. The Congress leaders made much hue and cry over this whole issue, who earlier had submitted memorandum to the Governor, blaming the State Government for not being serious in bringing back the stranded Himachalis, he added.Jai Ram Thakur said that people of Bihar has once again given verdict in favour of the NDA and reposed faith in strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has once again proved his organisational skills in Bihar assembly elections. He said that programmes like Jan Manch and Chief Minister Helpline 1100 had helped the people of the State in speedy redressal of their grievances at their door steps. He said that Himachal Pradesh has become the first Smoke Free State in the country as every household had been provided gas connection facility. He said that it was possible due to Ujjawala Yojana of Centre and Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojna of the State Government.
Chief Minister announced science classes in Government Senior Secondary Schools Baggi and Hather, upgradation of Government High Schools Bajward and Singhadhar to Government Senior Secondary Schools and opening of Health Sub Centre at Ladwan. He said that opening of Degree College at Banikhet and Sub Tehsil at Telga would be considered in the next year Budget.Jai Ram Thakur also honoured corona warriors on the occasion.Member of Parliament Kishan Kapoor said that the country was safe in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India was capable of giving befitting reply to anyone who tries to challenge the sovereignty of the country. He said that it was due to the strong leadership of Narendra Modi that it gave befitting reply to Pakistan for its misadventure of Uri attack by surgical strike and also gave a strong message to China for its misdeeds at Galwan valley. He also detailed various schemes launched by the Centre Government during the occasion. Chairman Marketing Board Chamba D.S. Thakur while welcoming the Chief Minister to Dalhousie thanked him for inaugurating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth Crores of rupees for the constituency. He said that the three years tenure of the State Government has ensured balanced development of the State without any discrimination. He also thanked the Chief Minister for initiating various welfare and development oriented schemes for the socio-economic upliftment of the people of the State. He also urged the Chief Minister to open Degree College at Banikhet and upgradation and construction of bus stand at Dalhousie.President BJP Mandal Dalhousie Vijay Thakur also welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion.MLAs Bikram Jaryal and Jia Lal Kapoor, Vice Chairman Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation Jai Singh, President Dalhousie Nagar Parishad Manoj Chaddha, Spokesman State BJP Umesh Dutt, Deputy Commissioner Chamba D.C.
