Jai Ram Thakur announces Rs. 1.5 lakh each to 36 fire affected families of Malana

Shimla : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today visited the ancient Malana village of Kullu district to meet the fire affected families which took place during the month of October this year. Chief Minister announced Rs. 1.50 lakh each to 36 affected families under Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojna and handed over sanction letters in this regard to the families. He also announced that 40,000 each would be provided to the affected families under MNREGA. He also announced Rs. 25,000 each to the families whose houses were completely gutted in this fire incident and Rs. 10,000 each from his discretionary fund to those families whose houses were partially gutted. He also announced opening of Health Sub Centre at Malana and said that medical staff would be provided in this institution at the earliest. He also announced upgradation of Government High School, Malana to Government Senior Secondary School.Jai Ram Thakur said that the Forest Corporation would also provide seven cubic meters TD to the affected families for construction of houses. He said that fuel wood would also be provided to the affected families. He said that irrigation facilities would also be made available in Jari village under JICA and tapped water would be provided under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Chief Minister also announced rupees one crore for construction of alternative road to Malana. He directed the PWD authorities to complete the road work within six months to facilitate the people of the area. He said that this would not only give boost to tourism development in the area but also ensure development of the village. He also urged the people of the area to preserve their rich cultural heritage and also motivate the younger generation to be proud of their culture.Chief Minister announced rupees two lakh for Kitchen Set for Mata Renuka temple and also Rs. 25,000 from his discretionary fund to trekker Indra Devi of the village for crossing Pin Valley.While travelling on foot from Malana road point to Malana village Chief Minister also interacted with the tourists.He said that the ground near the Jamlu Devta complex would also be maintained and developed as all the religious functions are held in this ground.Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur and MLA Banjar Surender Shourie also spoke on the occasion and thanked the Chief Minister for being the first Chief Minister of the State to visit the landlocked village.Brig. Khushal Thakur presented vote of thanks.Former MP Maheshwar Singh, BJP District President Bhim Sen, Local Pradhan Raju Ram, Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg, Superintendent of Police Gurdev Sharma were also present on the occasion.
