Jai Ram Thakur lays foundation stones of Rs. 12.52 crore developmental projects in Seraj Vidhan Sabha area

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur laying foundation stones in Seraj Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district through video conferencing from Shimla.

Shimla : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated Sub Tehsil Bagga Chanogi in Seraj Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district through video conferencing from Shimla. Chief Minister also laid foundation stones of six developmental projects worth Rs 12.52 crore for the area which include augmentation of Lift Water Supply Scheme Pandli, Chunani, Kuklah Bagi Khudagi in GP Kashoud and Kuklah from Khudagi khad in tehsil Balichowki to be constructed at a cost of Rs.5.77 crore, Rs. 1.51 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme Dhaun Khad to Kameshwar Dhar in GP Bagga Chanogi, tehsil Thunag, Rs. 1.60 crore Primary Health Centre building at Kalhani, tehsil Thunag, Rs. 1.54 crore Primary Health Centre building at Dharwarthach, tehsil Thunag, Rs. 1.60 crore Primary Health Centre building at Kholanal, tehsil Balichowki and Rs. 50 lakh Forest Inspection Hut at Kalhani. Jai Ram Thakur congratulated the people of Bagga Chanogi for getting a Sub Tehsil for the area. He said that this would provide a much needed relief to the people of the area as till now they had to travel about 30 kilometres to Thunag for various land record and other issues. He said that Rs 5.77 crore lift water supply scheme on completion would provide better drinking water facilities to the people of Pandli, Chunani, Kuklah, Bagi Khudagi villages of Gram Panchayat Kashoud and Kuklah. Chief Minister said that the Seraj was one of the most remote constituencies of the State and the Government has accorded added priority to ensure development of this area. He said that most of the remote areas of the constituency have been provided road connectivity. He said that providing road connectivity to the remote area was the top priority of his Government. He said that about 250 kms roads were constructed in the Vidhan Sabha area during the last three years.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Sub Division of IPH and JE Section of PWD were opened in Bagga Chanogi which shows that special thrust was being accorded by the Government to this area. He said that PWD Rest House would be constructed at Bagga Chanogi as soon as appropriate land was identified. Chief Minister said that the State Government has taken few tough decisions to check spread of coronavirus. He said that no political function would be held in the State till 15th of this month. He urged the people to maintain social distancing and use face masks in public places. He said that not more than 50 persons have been allowed in any kind of social, cultural and political functions to break the cycle of this virus.Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal said that it was indeed an honour to address the people of Seraj Vidhan Sabha through video conferencing. He said that all three Health institutions, foundation stone of which was laid today by the Chief Minister would go a long way in providing better health services in the rural areas of the constituency.Member of Parliament, Mandi Parliamentary area, Ram Swaroop Sharma thanked the people of Seraj for electing Jai Ram Thakur, consecutively five times from the area. BJP Seraj Mandal President Bhagirath Sharma said that due to the Corona pandemic Chief Minister could not personally grace the occasion. He said that the Chief Minister was successfully guiding the State during the pandemic. He also thanked the Chief Minister for providing Sub Tehsil at Bagga Chanogi, besides laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth crores of rupees. General Secretary BJP Seraj Tikam Ram welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed various developmental demands of the area.General Secretary Seraj BJP Bhisham Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Mandi Rugved Thakur and other officers were present on the occasion at Bagga Chanogi.
