Udhampur : The performance of the banks in key areas for the quarter ending September-2020 was today reviewed here at District Level Review Committee cum District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla.Threadbare discussions were held on various issues which mainly include progress in terms of Government sponsored schemes, District Financial inclusion plan, Seeding of Aadhaar/Mobile numbers, Number of financial literacy programmes conducted by the rural branches, Functioning of financial literacy counseling centers, Flow of credit to priority sector and weaker sections of the society, Issuance of Bank wise KCC, Doubling of farmers income by 2022, Implementation of Pradhan Mantri Faisal Bima Yojana (FMFBY) in J&K UT, Finance to joint liability groups of “Bhoomi Heen Kissan”, Approval of PLP 2021-22 etc.At the outset, LDM, Ramesh Raina gave a briefed about the various banks and their performance and achievement during the financial year 2020-21.Speaking at the meeting, the DDC exhorted upon the bankers to organize financial literacy awareness camps in coordination with other departments at Panchayat level so that maximum benefits could reach at ground level.
Bankers were asked to consult the concerned department before rejecting the sponsored case as the departments act as bridge between the beneficiary and bank for the sanctioning of loan cases. He called upon the stakeholders to m to reach out to the targeted groups for the uplift of the socio economic status of deprived section of the society.He instructed the bankers to improve the CD ratio at par with the national level in the next quarter. The DDC asked the bankers to put in efforts to increase the CD ratio by focusing on potential areas and stressed on better coordination among the banks and government departments for bringing improvement in CD ratio. He impressed upon all the officers present in meeting to ensure that no eligible farmer should be deprived of centrally sponsored schemes. He urged the concerned departments to resolve the issues pertaining to their department immediately.Bankers and line departments were directed to organize awareness camps jointly in all the 236 panchayats of district, as per the roaster to be issued from DC Office, for on the spot sanction and disbursement of loans and other benefits to intended beneficiaries under different schemes.The Bankers were also directed to clear all the pending cases sponsored by different departmentsAmong others, the meeting was attended by Assistant District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumnar; Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan; GM DIC, Pankaj Anand; CEO, DDM NABARD, Rajesh Dutta; Cluster Head J&K Bank Rajesh Gupta; Director RSETI and other officers and Bankers.
