In view of the last 3 waves of corona, a flu corner will be set up in every facility of the state - Anil Vij

Chandigarh : Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that in view of the recent surge of Covid-19, a mock drill will be carried out in the state on December 27, 2022. Apart from this, flu corners will be set up in every hospital across the state so that the infected patients can be isolated there.

Similarly, the Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (RTPCR) test will be conducted for flu and severe acute respiratory infection like cases.Sh. Vij was interacting with the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Sh. Mansukh Mandaviya through video conferencing here today.

He said that due to the recent surge in Covid-19, the Central Government has timely taken several measures to fight the Covid-19.

*Issued various other instructions to the concerned officers in view of the last 3 waves of Corona pandemic – Vij*
He said that at state level, we have also issued various other instructions to the concerned officers of the department in view of the last 3 waves of Corona pandemic. He informed that RTPCR test will also be done in cases of severe acute respiratory infection.

He said that all the cases that will come after today will be examined through RTPCR.
*Adequate arrangement of RTPCR labs in the state -Vij*
The Health Minister further said that we have adequate arrangement of RTPCR labs in the state. In Haryana, for the convenience of the people, 26 RTPCR labs are functional while 22 districts have in the state. He said that orders have been issued to all healthcare workers to wear masks and gloves from today and they have to use precautionary measures during working hours.

*Follow the test-track-treat and vaccine procedure to fight the infection – Vij*
He said that orders have been issued to conduct genome sequencing in the state and the department is following the test-track-treat and vaccine procedure to fight the infection. People have been vaccinated well in Haryana, but the first vaccine dose has been applied 103 percent and the second dose has been applied 86 percent and our precaution dose has been applied 10 percent.

He said that when Covid was over, people had reduced getting precaution doses, now we will emphasize on vaccination and emphasis will be on vaccinating all categories. For this we will need vaccines.

He said that we have about 1 lakh 40 thousand vaccines, out of which 1 lakh 39 thousand are covoxin vaccine while Covishield is only 750, so we will need Covishield vaccine. He said that we need at least 2 lakh Covishield vaccines to restart the vaccination and to give the precaution doses to the people. Apart from this, the instructions given by the Central Government from time to time will be followed in Haryana.

*PSA plants installed in every hospital above 50 beds – Vij*
He said that “We have sufficient stock of everything and PSA plant installed in every hospital above 50 beds. He said that we have sufficient quantity of oxygen concentrator, medicines are also available with us in sufficient quantity. Adequate staff availability is also available, beds are also available, ICU is also available in sufficient quantity, he added. Sh. Vij said that we are fully prepared to fight against this enemy.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department, Smt. G. Anupama, Director Medical education Department Sh. Aditya Dahiya, Mission Director Sh. Prabhjot Singh and Director General Health Services Dr Sonia Trikha Khullar and other senior officers were present.
