5 Days FDP on Pedagogic Techniques for Academic Leadership Concluded at CGC Jhanjeri

Jhanjeri : CGC, Jhanjeri conducted a 5 Days Online FDP on the theme Pedagogic Tecniques for Academic leadership . This FDP aimed at the various Pedagogical Development strategies, ICT applications, institutional values, and self-development. More than 110 national and international participants registered for the event. Keynote speaker, of the event was Er. Sandeep Kumar Kazal, Registrar, IKGPTU Jalandhar, joined event on virtual platform and explained the need to upgrade employability skills for survival in job market. He explained the gap between demand and supply in this technical era and suggested many online short-term courses for enhancement of technical skills to overcome this issue.Dr. Sandeep Poddar, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Lincoln University College, Malaysia virtually shared his experiences highlighting the impacts of COVID-19 on Education.

He also discussed about the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025, which is targeted for enhancement of skill requirements by 2025.He focused on develop more practical approach in teaching methods and inculcating technological skills amongst students.Prof. Vikas Daryal, Director, Tilak Raj Chadha Institute of Management & Technology stressed on the continuous process of learning new things. According to him,Pursuit of learning must grow. Dr. Priyadarshi Kanungo, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, C.V. Raman Global University, Odisha highlighted the fact that in this Digital phase, practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge and it should be delivered through various technical pedagogies effectively.Dr. Anuradha Sekhri, Institute for Development & Communication, Research Centre, Punjab University, Chandigarh focused on the dire need of integration of ICT applications with pedagogy and emphasized on students’ involvement strategies in virtual classes.  Dr.RajneeshTalwar, Director, Chandigarh Engineering College, stated that as an academic leader we have learned latest technology tools and implicated them for teaching during pandemic .Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal ,President of CGC, Jhanjeri, discussed the benefits of Digital Platform and virtual teaching methodologies.
