Block Diwas: DC Rajouri seeks People’s cooperation in accelerating dev process, prosperity of region
Officers asked to ensure quality disposal of public grievances
Rajouri : “People’s role is inevitable in the developmental process and they must work shoulder to shoulder with Distt Admin for peace & prosperity of the region.”This was stated by the District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal while chairing a public grievances redressal camp organised as a weekly Block Diwas here at Devak, Sunderbani.
Among the others present at the event included DDC Member Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma; BDC Sunderbani, Arun Sharma; BDC Siot, Balkrishan; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt and other District and sectoral officers.
During the event, the public and their representatives raised a number of issues and demands of their areas including macadamization of roads, better health services, upgradation of schools etc.
Officers of different departments also highlighted govt schemes & programs under different sectors and motivated the public to avail the benefits of the same. They also responded to the queries raised by the public on the occasion.
Addressing the public during the event, the DDC said that the District Administration is working on a multi pronged strategy for the holistic development of all the areas of the district and every sector is being pushed to achieve the desired results on ground.
Stating that people’s role is inevitable in the developmental process, he said that they must work shoulder to shoulder with Distt Admin for peace, prosperity and development of the region.
Highlighting the ongoing Digital JK Week, the DDC said that scores of services are being provided by different departments of the district through online mode and the public must come forward and avail the benefits of the same.
Underlining measures being taken to make the services delivery mechanism easily accessible to the public, he said that all the departments of the district are working with proper dedication to ensure that the benefits of Govt services reaches to the last beneficiary of the district.
While addressing the issues and demands raised by the public during the event, he assured them that their genuine concerns would be given due priority and efforts will be made to redress the same in a phased manner.Later, DC also visited Yatra ground at Sunderbani and took stock of arrangements being made available for yatris of Budha Amarnath Yatra.
